About Oxfordshire Children and Voluntary Youth Services.
Established over thirty years ago, we work with children’s groups, voluntary youth organisations and charities
to help ensure that the quality of services being delivered to Oxfordshire’s children and young people are the
best it can be. We do this by providing access to training, events and advice, as well as best practice support
around how to run efficient and effective organisation and how to deliver outstanding work to their beneficiaries.
We currently manage a vinvolved team which provides support to organisations across Oxfordshire to develop youth
volunteering and advice to young people wanting to volunteer. We also provide a range of strategic support through
coaching, training events and conferences and provide an information service through email and telephone.
Our team consists of:
Anna Day- Strategic Manager Workforce Development, who leads on strategic workforce development around
sustainability of children and young people’s services, organising a range of training courses, forums, develops
resources and toolkits and provides one to one support for membership organisations.
Alison Crawley- Administrator, writes and edits our monthly newsletters and co-ordinates training across
the county from external providers.
The vinvolved team-
Claire Christiansen, Sharon Holder and Amanda Powell, Youth Volunteering Development Managers, provide support
to organisations across the county around developing volunteering opportunities to attract 16-25 year olds.
Gert Beardall and Michelle Geiger, Youth Volunteering Advisers provide support to young people aged 16-25 year
olds wanting to volunteer.
